Folate (which turns into folic acid) is essential at this stage. Your baby’s neural tube, which is the foundation of its spinal cord and brain need folate for proper construction. Baby is small but mighty - now between 0.05 and 0.10in.
At this point some mamas don’t notice any changes yet while others begin to experience some of the funky early pregnancy symptoms - morning sickness, tender breasts, bloating, frequent urination. Hang on tight mama - most of these symptoms only hang on for the first trimester.
