Later lanugo! The fine white hair baby sprouted all over begins to shed this week, now that baby is putting on more fat. Some babies will still have some on their backs, shoulders or ears. Fear not this too will shed shortly after birth.
This week the production of baby’s skin pigmentation, called melanin begins. Most of baby’s coloring will come in after birth.
While tissue and the spleen were originally making baby’s red blood cells, baby’s bone marrow is mature enough now to take over.
